I couldn't speak more highly about Erika and the book we worked on together about my grandpa. She’s incredibly kind and compassionate. We worked on a book interviewing my grandfather about his life, and unfortunately, halfway through the interviews, he passed away.

Erika held space for him in some of my last conversations with him and brought out stories that I had never heard before in my life. I learned about his childhood, his upbringing, and his years as a police officer, and it only grew my relationship with my family and, of course, with my grandpa. She is incredible at holding space, bringing out the right stories, and being patient and communicative, especially since English was not his first language.

After his passing, Erika was patient and helped bring out stories from other loved ones like my mom, her brothers, and other family members, including my grandmother. The book turned out to be a beautiful work of art and something we will keep in our family for generations. I couldn't be more thankful that we did this, and it is one of the most cherished projects I’ve ever worked on.

Erika’s work goes beyond just the interviewing process. The book is something every one of our family members will have a copy of and hold onto.
